About Us

In November/December 2006 Changing Places facilitated a community consultation around the park. Questionnaires were distributed to each of the households surrounding the park in the hope of seeking the views of local people.

On 29th January 2007 a feedback event took place promoting the findings of the above  and gaining further public opinion on findings held in the Cambuslang Institute. This led to the initial meeting of the Friends of Cambuslang Park on 14th March 2007 and since then the group has gone from strength to strength.

Since the first meeting we have held a variety of events from guided walks to fun days to a Halloween event and we intend to hold more events as time goes on.

Friends of Cambuslang Park Group have been running since March 2007 and currently have around two hundred members which we are keen to expand on. The Friends of group have a genuine interest in restoring the park back to its natural beauty so that the community as a whole can access and enjoy the park. If you wish to become a member please contact cambuslangpark(at)live.co.uk  for a form.

The group meets on a regular basis on a the second Tuesday of the month in the Toll Pitch, at the Terminus, Cambuslang. A warm welcome awaits anyone who has an interest in the Park and would like to come along to the meetings. For meeting dates please see the News page.
